Hundreds Join Wolf Administration in Gettysburg for Cabinet in Your Community Event
Town-hall style event is the fifth in statewide series of regional initiative updates
Gettysburg, PA – Today, Wolf Administration cabinet officials were joined by more than 200 people for a Cabinet in Your Community event at the Gettysburg campus of Harrisburg Area Community College. This was the fifth in a series of town-hall style events held across the state in which members of the community can talk with cabinet secretaries and discuss issues important to the region.
“This is a great opportunity for communities to engage with their state government and learn about the commonwealth’s investments in their region,” said Governor Tom Wolf. “From events in Nanticoke and Lock Haven to Chester, Hawley and now Gettysburg, we are hearing from residents, college students, local elected officials, and more through a positive two-way dialogue between the community and Harrisburg.
Featuring Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Dennis Davin, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn, Department of Human Services Acting Secretary Teresa Miller, Department of Corrections Secretary John Wetzel and Department of Transportation Secretary Leslie Richards, the department secretaries provided updates on regional projects and accomplishments and answered questions from the audience.
The next Cabinet in Your Community event is currently scheduled for February 16 in Erie at 3207 State Street with cabinet secretaries from the departments of Community and Economic Development, Environmental Protection, Health, Revenue, and Transportation.
